Along with the new Apple Watch Series 2 and Scooby Doo Porn ParodyNike Plus versions, Apple took the opportunity to release new watch bands on Wednesday.
SEE ALSO: Live from San Francisco: Apple iPhone 7 EventThe new bands deliver a fresh array of options for those who have already totally bought into the practice of regularly swapping out the bands on Apple's only wearable.
The new Hermés bands offer brown and blue shades of the Double Tour, Single Tour and Cuff bands. The Hermés bands start at $1,149 and will be available September 23. Another band shown off during the event came along with the new Apple Watch Nike Plus, an aluminum sports-oriented watch. It was riddled with strategically placed holes that allow the skin of the athlete to breathe more. The new band comes in four colors -- black, grey, light grey and sliver, all with alternating grey and neon yellow accents.
Both new versions of the Apple Watch will sell for $369 and will be available on Sept. 9.
Sales of the Apple Watch have been a closely guarded secret, but more than a year after the device's release, it's clear that it isn't as ubiquitous as its companion device, the iPhone.
Nevertheless, by releasing these new bands, Apple has aggressively recommitted to the wearable and its prospects, even if the public is still only slowly warming to its charms.
Will these new fashion forward options help? We'll know soon, but in the meantime, smartwatches from companies like Samsung and Pebble continue to add features that put pressure on Apple to remain competitive in the still-growing market of wearable tech.
