The Portuguese soccer demigod this week became the first athlete -- and, in another interesting layer, the first male -- to hit 100 million followers on Instagram, according to a rep for the social media app.

But Ronaldo is the first person to rack up more than 100 million followers on both Instagram andFacebook, where he has more than 120 million fans.
Ronaldo's meticulously curated Instagram page features soccer photos, off-the-pitch adventures, frequent posts about his young son, and -- because this is Ronaldo -- plenty of shirtless pics that make fans drool and/or get very jealous of his physique.
