Even three years after launching,Martial arts Archives Jay-Z and Beyonce's family life still appears to be TIDAL's greatest asset.
A 30-second music video clip for 4:44's "Family Feud" showcases the couple's latest attempt to use their marital troubles -- well-documented in Beyonce's TIDAL-exclusive visual album Lemonade-- to get you to buy a subscription to their "premium" music streaming service.
And, tbh, it's kinda working.

There's no doubt that Bey and Jay look fierce as hell in the brief trailer for the track from his Grammy-nominated album, detailing how "nobody wins when the family feuds." In the preview, Jay Z can be seen fooling around with some lady who certainly is not Beyonce. In contrast, he's also seen walking down the aisle of an extravagant church with his daughter, Blue Ivy, and standing in judgement of his wife, clad in a dramatic black gown.
I don't think we need Rap Genius Dot Com's lyrical analysis to pick up on the connotations of "Family Feud."
The video will go live on TIDAL at 4:44 pm ET (cuuute, we get it!) on Dec. 29. That means it'll only be available to members paying the monthly $9.99 fee (or $19.99 for the even more premium "HiFi" subscription). Or, it'll also be available to those who sign up during their conveniently timed holiday free-trial promotion, where you can sign up for free (temporarily).
This isn't the first time Beyonce and Jay Z's relationship has been the center of a promotional push for TIDAL. Previously, Lemonadeexplored Bey's side of the story as she dealt with and overcame Jay's reported infidelity. They've also leveraged home videos in Beyonce's intimate TIDAL-exclusive video for her "Die With You" love ballad celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary.
Urgh -- we want to be jaded about these shrewd business tactics, but we're too busy putting $9.99 on our credit cards for the Bey and Jay experience.
