Get ready to be Pachinko Angelhit with the nostalgia stick, because a new game inspired by Theme Hospitalis coming.
The indie title, called Project Hospital, lets you do a lot of what you loved about the Bullfrog Productions game, including laying out the hospital, hiring staff, and curing patients for profit.
SEE ALSO: Grab your piece of video gaming nostalgia with one of these awesome console rebootsThe new game's graphics are also naturally a step up from the old '90s game, with more detailed illustrations than the 16-bit Theme Hospitalcould handle.
Project Hospitalalso adds a few features that its predecessor didn't have, such as premade hospital layouts, so you can just jump right into playing doctor.
What's missing appears to be Theme Hospital's dark humour. Remember "Bloaty Head" and "Slack Tongue" diseases?
Bloaty Head was caused by sniffing cheese and drinking unpurified rainwater, and the cure was the doctor popping the head with a pin, before reinflating it with a pump.
Via GiphySo, instead of these made-up diseases, Project Hospitalpromises to instead introduce players to real world diseases and their cures, in hopes of actually educating players as well.
Oxymoron Games, the studio behind it, is based in Prague, and is made of a group of former AAA-game makers who started up the indie outfit last year.
The game is slated to launch on Steam in 2018.
