The cold, hard truth behind pickle soft serve, though, is that it's more of a cucumberice cream than anything else. Per Refinery29's profile of the dish, the primary ingredient is actually fresh-pressed, un-pickled cucumber.
The dish's architects did add a hint of tanginess, though, which makes the ice cream taste like a "half-sour" pickle, or a pickle that hasn't been brining for very long.

All this to say: it's not the dill hamburger chip nightmare you were probably expecting. In fact, it's supposed to function as a "palate cleanser" for the restaurant's spicier dishes.
Honestly, sounds delightful. Or at least better than Taylor ham ice cream, which has haunted my dreams since the day I learned of its existence (yesterday). Pickle ice cream for everyone!
