Time to make those donations you've been promising since Election Day.
Apple Pay now allows instant donations to nonprofits,Lee Soo Actor | Adult Movies Online Apple announced on Monday.
The instant donation platform lets Apple Pay mobile users give to nonprofits without entering billing or contact information, instead using Touch ID. Instant donations will also work through Apple Pay on desktop.
In the past, groups have been unable to fundraise directly within iOS apps, instead diverting donations to web forms.
“We’re making it incredibly easy to give back with Apple Pay,” Apple Vice President of Apple Pay Jennifer Bailey said in a statement. “Websites and apps tell us they see twice as many people actually completing a purchase with Apple Pay than with other payment methods. We think offering such a simple and secure way to support the incredible work nonprofits do will have a significant impact on the communities they serve.”
Nineteen nonprofits officially launched with Apple Pay on Monday, including Doctors Without Borders, charity:water, GlobalGiving, Save the Children and UNICEF. PBS and its local stations are joining soon.
