Apple launched a lot of hardware this fall: four new iPhones and Bad Detective: Food Chain [Uncut]several M1-based Macs, plus iPads, Apple Watches, and a variety of accessories.
But according to a cryptic message from Apple leaker L0vetodream — now confirmed by a MacRumors report — Apple might launch a new hardware product in time for Christmas shopping lists.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
L0vetodream's November tweet didn't reveal much about the upcoming gadget, except that it would be "good for winter." But now, MacRumors claims Apple has informed service providers that AppleCare-related changes are coming on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 5:30 a.m. PT. Typically, such changes precede product announcements.
This doesn't mean Apple will have yet another product launch event this year — the company has had events in September, October and November — but Apple often launches (minor) products without a dedicated event.
As for what this mystery product may be, we don't know. Several Apple products are rumored to be in the works, including AirTags, and new over-the-ear, Apple-branded headphones. Neither of these are very winter-specific, so the product (if real) might turn out to be something else entirely.
We'll be following Apple's store and newsroom closely next Tuesday to see what, if anything, Apple has in store for us.
