China’s top internet regulator has given the green light to 346 generative AI services under a national registration system designed to regulate the fast-growing sector. On Monday,The Erotic Adventures of Zorro the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) said it had completed the registration of hundreds of generative AI applications by the end of March, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure AI development aligns with the country’s policy and security standards. The initiative follows the roll out of the government body’s Interim Measures for the Management of Generative AI Services, which came into effect in August 2023.
