Donald Trump Jr. was caught red-handed for a terrible Photoshop job,Yoo Jung but this time it wasn't because he airbrushed his pores into oblivion.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Don Jr. shared a CNN report comparing Trump's approval ratings with statistics from Obama's presidency.
"Amazing," Trump Jr. captioned it. "I guess there is a magic wand to make things happen and @realdonaldtrump seems to have it."
SEE ALSO: Airbrushed photo of Trump Jr. and his girlfriend inspires hilarious comparisonsExcept, @realdonaldtrump doesn'tseem to "have it" because the screenshot is a poorly edited graphic that makes the current president's approval say 50 percent instead of the actual 40 percent. In other words, Trump Jr. has (ironically) participated in spreading fake news.

Whoever altered the photo barely even tried to make it look authentic -- the shade of red they used is completely different from the original graphic, and they even made the mistake of making the edit transparent enough so the original, true percentage is still visible.
Engineer William LeGate, who tweeted screenshots of the gaff on Wednesday, said "it’s not even a good photoshop job lmao."
Twitter user Sally Rutter shared a screenshot of the original graphic, which very clearly shows that Trump's approval rating is 5 percent lower than Obama's.

And here's the actual segment, where CNN host John King pointed out that while Trump was inaugurated during a period of economic growth, Obama inherited a country in recession.
The CNN report was a fact-check in response to Trump's tweet from Sunday, where he claimed he had "better numbers than Obama at this point, by far."

Trump Jr. hasn't publicly commented on getting caught for the bad edit. He's probably still trying to figure out how Facetune works.
