SEE ALSO: The secret, illicit underside of Google DriveWe reached out to Google for comment, and the company pointed us to a statement on its G Suite page.
"We're aware of a problem with Google Docs affecting a significant subset of users," reads the message. "The affected users are unable to access Google Docs. We will provide an update by 11/15/17, 2:30 PM detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change."
Clearly, the company is working to fix the problem. However, until it does, everyone that has grown dependent on Docs will just have to continue to freak out.
UPDATE: Nov. 15, 2017, 2:24 p.m. PST According to Google, Docs is once again up and running.
"The problem with Google Docs should be resolved," the company wrote in an update. "We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better."
Unfortunately, that means you no longer have an excuse to put off working on that term paper.
