LOS ANGELES -- Lionsgate has had a big week.
Just one day after announcing its fourth streaming service -- this one with Univision -- the Santa Monica-based studio said it is eroticism rococo fragonardpartnering up with video platform Vimeo to launch a Global Television Store.
The service, which will roll out Oct. 18, offers premium scripted U.S. content -- from Lionsgate's movie and TV library -- to consumers in over 150 countries.
That means Orange Is The New Black, Mad Men, Hulu's Casual, The Royals, Weeds, Nurse Jackie, Boss, Blue Mountain Stateand Manhattan will soon be available on Vimeo.
SEE ALSO: Lionsgate, Univision team for first Spanish language movie streaming service“We’re proud to launch Vimeo’s first ever transaction-based global television store with Lionsgate’s acclaimed television series,” Barry Diller, chairman and senior executive of Vimeo's parent company IAC, said in a statement. “Their television slate includes nearly 80 series on 40 different networks, and they are a great partner with whom to kick off a service that will bring premium scripted shows from the U.S. to our hundreds of millions of viewers around the world."
Diller said Vimeo hopes Lionsgate is the first of "many top Hollywood studios" the platform expects to "attract in the months to come."
