The Watch Good Looking Girl Onlineinternet is no stranger to liars, cheats, and thieves, which causes everyone to question the authenticity of every little thing they see. Melty ducks are no exception.
High temperatures in Japan have apparently caused a cute little plastic duck to melt on a man's dashboard. But when the tweet blew up, some users questioned the legitimacy of the melty duck -- it just looked too ridiculous and too good to be true.

The tweet, which has racked up nearly 500,000 retweets since Tuesday, has a photo of the duck in its original, pristine form. Next to it, a sad, melted version, presumably ruined by the sun and its evil rays.
"The worst, really," a translated version of the tweet reads.
The second photo is taken at a different angle than the first, causing users some users to call bullshit.

Internet sleuths went to work in an attempt to verify the photographs.
Twitter user "saw_spla" attempted to recreate the dashboard with a hand-drawn model in an effort to show the naysayers that the photos are of the same dash.

Users believe the car is a Honda, which was confirmed by Gizmodothanks to the car experts at Jalopnik.

As Gizmodopoints out, the car's brochure does appear to be the same as the one in the photo further proving the photos are authentic.
While it does seem that the two photos are genuine, the issues appears to be the differing color on the car's dash, as well as the angle of the second photo. The aerial perspective on the melted photo reveals a piece of the dash not clearly visible in the first.
Regardless, haters, trolls, and deniers will continue to fight about it, because that's what the internet is for, right?
